Players interested in entering one of our tournaments can request the tournament invitation with our polo manager.

• For more info regarding extra activities during de tournaments we refer you to the polo.nl website. You are always allowed to take a picnic with you, but generally drinks and sometimes food are sold on the side of the field and in the clubhouse.
• For the start times of matches you can contact the polo manager - please keep in mind that only in the week preceding the tournament the exact playing times are know and that in general de games for the second day are determined by the results of the games of the first day.

Instruction at Polo Club Wassenaar

After you have seen the players play during one of the tournaments, you of course would like to give it a go too. Polo Club Wassenaar, the biggest polo club in The Netherlands, offers this opportunity. The club organises polo clinics and beginners courses. Both are led by one or more experienced instructors.

The Polo clinic is intended for those who would like to experience the sport. The club also organises clinics for corporate entertainment and staff days.

The beginners course is intended to get you really thoroughly infected with the polo virus. At the end of this course you will know for sure if polo is your sport or not.

Of course our professional instructors also give individual lessons. Even to experienced players, because like with every sport you are never finished learning and bad habits enter your game. One hour of intensive one-on-one training and you will greatly improve you game.

Clinics

Polo Club Wassenaar organises two kinds of clinics, both are intended as introduction to the sport. We organise clinics on set dates and anyone interested can enter and we organise arranged clinics for groups. If you just want to experience polo and you cannot get a group of like minded people together, then you can register for one of the set clinics.

Do you have a whole group, friends, family, bachelor party of away day, then an arranged clinic is more suitable for you. In this case you tell us how you would like the clinic to be organised and we will do our best to organise this.

At the moment clinics are planned on the following dates:

Beginners course

The beginners course consists of a series of 4 times two hours. The first hour of each session exist of instruction without a horse. During this time the rules and theory will be discussed. Also part of the first hour is the 'dry' practising of the different hits.

De lessons will be given by one of our professional Argentine players and therefore are in English or Spanish. De professional is aided by the polo manager, who does speak Dutch.

The course will only take place with 4 or more participants. The lessons take place on Friday and start at 18.30. The last date on the list below are intended as extra date in case one of the other dates had to be cancelled.

The price for the beginners course (4x2uur) is EUR 600. This is including the rental of the horse and use of stick and helmet. Apart from that we generally use a (not to tight or loose) jeans and you can use normal shoes without too much profile on the soles. At the moment we have beginners courses planned on the following dates:

Augustus / September	5, 12, 19 en 26 Augustus. (9 September)

Individual lessons

The times for these lessons will be agreed on a personal basis. The content of these lessons are set to your needs and wishes. Please contact the polo manager for the possibilities.
